Meet Rufus!

Meet Rufus!

Isn't he just the cutest feral animal you've ever seen?

The Veronicas x 1 / 2

A Veronica

Hungover and tired, stretched awkwarkly across an oddly comfortable old futon, this was the only photo I was willing/able to take of Jess Origliasso, one half of The Veronicas. My Sisters took my to the last (for now) Aussie gig of The Follow, the lead singer of which The Veronica is currently, er, special friends with, I guess.

And yes, I managed to make an idiot out of myself in our only exchange with a dodgy-uncle-esque joke in less than 30-second flat.

Mission accomplished.

New style!

This is what my blog used to look like, long ago (when I had a website also... *sniff*):

Old Blog

This new style is less cheesy - just enough cheese, I'd say.

Wedding bells

Saturday, 19th of July I'll be making Lou a McCabe (and an honest woman :)

The reception is booked; after much trial and error searching for a venue. We had been waiting for another tentative booking the same day to resolve before we started planning anything else - now it's a case of cold panic!

We have just over three months to plan an entire wedding!

The venue caters for up to 100 people; we knew that if we invited everyone we'd be looking at 140+, so we've made the very heart wrenching decision that cousins will not be invited. A lot of friends we'd like to see on the list, won't be, either.

You can do it huge or you do it small. Massive ceremony under a marquee in a paddock somewhere (much like how a cousin of mine had her wedding), or elope. We've gone the middle ground; semi-traditional with a formal venue, ceremony, fully-catered reception.

Getting married by an Elvis impersonator in Vegas does hold a certain charm though!

Going up the stream of consciousness without a paddle.
